We focus on developing and refining the potentials of children on the street. One of the many challenges of a street child is the deprivation of basic and quality education. Education is not a privilege, but the right of every child. Children deserve to be educated, especially in this fast-evolving age.
The Back to School program enables street children and at-risk children have access to fully funded quality education. We also provide a unique after-school mentoring routine, to ensure excellent academic performance. We’ve sent over 300 at-risk children and 40 street children back to school.
The evolution of our work has brought about a one-on-one volunteer-child monitoring, mentoring and evaluation structure; which promotes personal and specific attention on them in order to know and tackle issues specific to each child.
The activities involve the gathering, review, and analysis of an individual child's background, to know their stories, and trace their origin with a goal of reuniting them with their families or guardians. The background of each child is the key to understanding their unique situations. It also covers individual counselling, health services, and assistance with substance abuse and mental health issues.
